Carolyn is a dynamic teacher that is respected by both parents and students alike. She has studied as a
ballet dancer with the Joffrey, and was on scholarship with Stanley Holden in Los Angeles. As a performer and choreographer, she excelled in both ballet and modern dance at Goldenwest College. She
has been teaching since 1983 at various studios and at Goldenwest College. She has been at the Irvine School of Dance since 1986 and many of her students have been accepted to study on scholarship with such
notable ballet companies as the Joffrey Ballet, the School of American Ballet, Boston, San Francisco and many more. As a choreographer, her lyrical and ballet pieces have won many top awards. Solos and
small groups are a specialty of hers. Carolyn
teaches discipline and correct technique in her classes. She is especially skilled at preparing the young ballet dancer for the demands of a company. While Carolyn is a great teacher for the serious student
in both lyrical and ballet, she makes her classes fun and interesting for all types of dancers. |
